I will be hosting a Freedom's Heroes Day at McIntyre Park in Thomasville. We will be learning about the branches of the military and what each branch does to protect our freedom. Nick Sellers, who was deployed several times, has agreed to tell us his story and lead the children in marching and various physical training exercises. We will hear stories from military history and make cards to thank veterans for their service.
This event is free, but I ask that you bring a gift to go in a care package for soldiers overseas.
Location: McIntyre Park, Thomasville (corner of Clay and Glenwood)
Time: 10:30-11:30
Age: Any, but the program is aimed at 7-10 year olds
Cost: Free, but bring a gift for the care package
Tickets are not necessary, but please give me a heads up if you are planning on coming.
